Having released their third album to date, Plastic Beach, featuring a host of big-name collaborators, Gorillaz are out on their first arena tour under the direction of Damon Albarn. This show is at Amsterdam's Heineken Music Hall.
Albarn worked the project up with graphic designer Jamie Hewlett, who created the four eye-catching, comic-book virtual band members for the band's eponymous 2001 debut release. The hip-hop-meets-guitars sound further developed on 2005's, Demon Days.
The tour features a large band and possible appearances from contributors to the latest album including De La Soul, Bobby Womack and Mos Def. Animation, artwork and film from Hewlett combine to create a visually impressive backdrop.
